Back for more with the things I've found. Hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer thus far. Just make sure after you read this post you go outside and enjoy the nice weather, especially you New Englanders. It'll be gone before you know it, for now enjoy!
Some Thought on Working with Hypermobile Clients- Yes she's on the list again. Ashley Crosby is a coach for Cressey Sports Performance's Jupiter location. The lady knows what she can talking about and is a pretty good writer. Enjoy this piece from her about hypermobile clientele. Get Out of Your Own Way- Another person that combines good writing with a heck of a brain is Matt Ibrahimi. His guest post on Strength Faction is absolutely worth the read if you're a coach. A piece like his a good reminder of how to not be a crappy coach. Conditioning 101- I like Jim Wendler's writing and the 5/3/1 program he put out what seems like eons ago. If there's one thing I always need to be sure to do it's conditioning. For those that are challenged in that department here's a good read for you to enjoy from a few years ago. Note: Hill Sprints are known to make leave more than sweat on the ground. Enjoy that for today everyone!

It's ALIVE! Seriously I only started to feel human again yesterday thanks to my long weekend excursion to Chicago. I'd absolutely do it again though, so it was worth it. Alright enough babbeling, here's what I found for you all to sink your teeth into this week.
How to Win by Jack Clark- For those that haven't figured it out, I am a rugby junkie (seriously how could you not know this at this point?). Therefore anything I find that involves rugby and a well known fitness professional makes the top of the list. How to Win by Jack Clark via Jen Sinkler is something everyone can draw something from. Enjoy what the U.S. most successful rugby coach (asshole or not) has to say. Would I Be Healthier if I Quit Drinking?- Considering I just went spent a weekend where I consumed some of this nectar I think this is an appropriate one to put up. This article from PN's Camille DePutter talks about the trade offs between drinking and not drinking alcohol. Think there are benefits? Find out right here. In Shape for What? The HKC Toolkit Assessment- Dan John put out a new article so naturally I think it's awesome and I want you all to read it. He's got some new standards he wants everyone to think about when they start assessing athletes and clients. Have a good read here. That's it for today everyone, new original post next week. Go out there and get after it! |
