Jarrod has been my trainer for nearly two years and I couldn't be happier. Whether it's attending Strength Camp - which I try to never miss - or PT sessions I always feel motivated, challenged, and supported. He is remarkably knowledgeable and is always exploring new techniques and trends as a coach in order to provide the safest and most effective programs. Strength Camp is my favorite. It's so great to be able to get together with a group and push yourself - being motivated by those in the class and by Jarrod himself. Jarrod has also worked up a number of programs for me and they have been challenging and effective in building my strength while not "bulking" me up. I am able to use the programs consistently for a four week period if I want, or I can switch them up and fit them in to my other workout routines. Through working with Jarrod I have gained a ton of strength, toned up, and eliminated recurring injuries I was getting from running. -Erica W

I started working with Jarrod Dyke several years ago when my swim coach told me I needed to work on my flexibility. His flexibility routines have definitely helped me grow as an athlete. Over the years we have transitioned to working on strength as well, while keeping up the flexibility. The workouts have helped my athletic abilities and made me a more efficient and powerful swimmer. When I first attended Jarrod's Strength Camp I had no prior experience with lifting. My typical work outs consisted of cardio or large group classes where I always left wondering if I was doing the exercises right. No other class has shown the transformative results as I have seen with Strength Camp. I credit Jarrod for finding my core, a group of muscles I thought i'd never have. His knowledge and encouraging words are what continually keep me striving for more. His ability to read each clients needs, strengths and weaknesses are what makes training with Jarrod more personal. I can't thank Jarrod enough for all he's done for me and my health. I've always been somewhat in shape and was one of those people that thinks doing cardio for 45 minutes a couple times a week was enough to transform my body. It's not. I wasn't confident enough to go in the weight room, and was weary of getting too 'bulky' if I touched weights. Jarrod totally eliminated that perspective from my mind by educating me and now I almost exclusively lift weights. I'm so happy I trusted him. Jarrod not only gave me effective workout routines and programming, but taught me a lot along the way. I've never felt better in my skin and I know I've never looked better. He made me understand my body in a way I didn't know existed. I've never been happier with my body, and I'm even happier that Jarrod gave me the life long skills and tools to continue on this route. I have known Jarrod for years, and this past summer I was able to start training with him on a weekly basis. He takes into account my flexibility, range of motion, injuries, etc. when developing my personalized workout plan. He regularly changes my workouts, so I look forward to each session. He pushes me when he knows I can do better. In just a few months of working out with Jarrod, I’ve gained so much strength. My arms have always been very weak and now I have strength in them for the first time in my life. He’s the best trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone! -Sarah F

Jarrod helped me stay centered and motivated even when i was fatigued and uncomfortable and experiencing lower back pain due to my progressively (larger) pregnant body.
Jarrod has been my professional trainer for over 2 years with the last 9 months focused on my changing body due to pregnancy. Jarrod helped me stay centered and motivated even when I was fatigued and uncomfortable and experiencing lower back pain due to my progressively (larger) pregnant body. He was great with providing specific exercises to strengthen my lower back muscles and improve my body’s inner core. These workout sessions allowed for a normal pregnancy weight gain and subsequently a very uneventful healthy pregnancy. Unfortunately, I ended up needing a cesarean section to deliver my baby, but my body recovered very quickly due to the specific core training provided by Jarrod during my pregnancy. My clinicians were amazed at my recovery and gave me accolades for my ability to recover from major surgery so quickly. I was out walking four days following my abdominal surgery! It's been 4 weeks since my little bundle of joy arrived and I'm excited to say that I am already back to my pre-pregnant weight! I am looking forward to resuming my training sessions with Jarrod when I am fully recovered from my surgery/delivery. -Diane B
In 2012 my husband and I set a date to be married in the fall. I joined a gym in January of that year and decided to try out the personal training company that was situated right at the gym. I was lucky enough at the time to be paired up with Jarrod for three sessions of strength training a week.
At the time, I was very unhappy with my fitness level. I was overweight, tired and generally not in great shape to be doing a lot of activities. There have been many times in my life that I decide to attempt to lose weight and feel better, but mostly I would start walking or do various types of cardio due to the fact that I didn't have much direction or education about how to effectively make any long term changes. When I first started working with Jarrod I had no idea what to expect. However, due to his easy going nature and natural ability to develop a rapport, he and I came to a quick understanding that I should ignore everyone else in the gym and just do what he said, three times a week (previously I was too intimidated to even look at equipment and weights, and quite frankly too inexperienced as well). So that is what I did, every week for several months. It was incredibly easy working with Jarrod, and he had an uncanny ability to judge when a particular exercise was not challenging enough for my fitness level, or too challenging. After the first couple of months, my fiance at the time was so impressed with the change in my body (and admittedly, my sleep, attitude and eating habits all were changing for the better as well) that I was able to convince him to try training with Jarrod too. We both went from hating boring exercise to competing against each other and made goals that had nothing to do with weight loss, and more to do with personal “bests” (I didn't even know I could ever be able to DO a pull up). After nine months of training, my husband and I were married. I spent the day busily enjoying myself and not thinking about how I looked because I felt great. We were at our physical bests at this point, and enjoyed much hiking and physical activities on our honeymoon that we would have never been able to do in our previous conditions. Better yet, Jarrod came to our wedding and we were able to celebrate with him. I can't say enough good things, or enough thanks, to Jarrod for his guidance. I met Jarrod a few years ago as a young, aspiring trainer. I was new to the field and was not confident in my capabilities as a personal trainer or coach. Jarrod took me under his wing and acted as a mentor to me, helping me begin my career as a trainer and instill confidence in myself to get me to where I am today. He has taught me a lot through the years and, still to this day, I look for guidance from him. Jarrod is a very easygoing and compassionate individual who I am also lucky to call a close friend
Jarrod has also been kind enough to program workouts for me. He is very thorough with his assessment, making sure to find weaknesses, imbalances and immobilities in his clients in order to put together a more specific program. He is also able to mix in movements specific to my personal goals to make sure I enjoy the workout as well. I have seen a noticeable increase in overall strength while also seeing improvements in many of the weaknesses Jarrod had pointed out to me upon the first assessment. These are things I may not have pushed myself to work on as regularly without his help and could not be happier with the results! -Emily H

I have been attending strength camp with Jarrod for almost 3 years. He is engaging, knowledgeable and encourages you to push your limits. Having a small group of other dedicated individuals helps keep me accountable and motivated. His one-on-one programming helped me run my second marathon faster, stronger and with no pain (in my knees at least)! I am definitely stronger than I was when I started and even when I can't make it to class I've learned plenty of 'Jarrod-style' circuits to kick my own butt for a day.
