Long days and pleasant nights everyone! Yes I have returned, apologies for the lengthy absence, took me a bit to get back into it after a couple of weeks off, forgive me? OK good, let's move on. I'm happy to bring you more great stuff this last Friday before we turn the clocks back here.
This week's Insta post of the week is a pretty cool one and certainly a memory that will stick in my head for a long time; Physical Preparation Podcast- I'm a huge fan Mike Robertson's work, especially his writing. What's better for people that are want to be very lazy, but still need the information? A podcast of course! His is somewhere around 100 episodes old so it's not as old as some out there, but it's been around awhile. Next time you're looking for something to listen to on that long, hellish commute, pop this on and give it a try. Make sure you check out his piece on squatting with taller athletes while you're at it. Imposter Syndrome and the Fitness Industry- Every young trainer and coach goes through this phase where they feel like they're not worthy of having a voice and being heard. Some even think that if they do put themselves out there, they need to compete against every other person out there (some never get over this phase). I was there once and still find my brain falling into this trap until, Catherine or one of my colleagues slap me out of it. Dean Somerset covers this issue pretty well in this post from a couple weeks ago. The Strength House- Last and certainly not least is this. A couple really smart guys and colleagues of mine, Greg and Tony, opened their own facility. I got my chance to visit last week and damnit I just wish it was a bit closer, I'd visit them every damn day. Anyone that's around Worcester MA, if you haven't at least checked this place out, you're doing it all very wrong,
