Things I've Found That Are Awesome #60

Geez, I've posted 60 of these suckers? How the heck did that happen? OK sorry, nobody cares about that, that's just more than it feels like I've done. Those that are curious, no I won't have one of these going up. Sorry, I know, big disappointment right there, it will return the following week, promise. That along with the promise of a new carry post, that should keep your interest, right?

Before we get to the good stuff, here's the Insta post of the week for all you social media addicts. Give Laura a nice hand everyone:

Nailing the Coffin Shut on Instability Training Ideas- WARNING: Super long read, buuuut for those geeks out there, be prepared for a dive into some good stuff. Bob Alejo put together a heck of a piece on, more less, why training on unstable surfaces (BOSU Ball, Airex Pad, etc...) is probably a waste of your time. I've always believed that stuff has a place, in rehab, not in a weight room. Don't believe me? Give this a read, you know you're probably just going to go back to check Twitter anyway, this will be a far better use of your time.

4 Ways to Help Your Clients Set Goals- Todd Bumgardner of Strength Faction is a very smart guy, I mean most of you already knew that by now right? Well get on that then, if not. You can start with this post on goal setting. I know I have clients that have issues figuring out exactly what their goals are, outside of the ones they think I want to hear. Also I totally feel Todd on the whole nose hair thing, sorry for the overshare, but Catherine would echo this.

So...Why Tall Kneeling Position?- Seriously, I've been asked this at least a few times by clients. Truth be told I have a hard time answering really concisely, and end up going on some weird tangent that no one wants to hear about in the middle of their training. Well for those that have been waiting for a good answer on this, read this article by the brilliant man that is Gray Cook.
