A Happy Independence Day to you all here in the good old USA. Before we all get too far into the holiday weekend here's a little bit of reading for you all to consider.
The Pros and Cons of Percentage Training- This is something I often have to consider when writing programming for certain clients. The man known as "TG", Tony Gentilcore, does a really nice job in this article on T-Nation explaining the ups and downs to both sides. The 5 Most Important Things I Learned from My Internship- Yeah this post is on the man pictured above's site, but it's a guest post from the wonderful writings of Ashley Crosby. As someone that's done 3 different internships to expand my knowledge and gain experience, this post is spot on with lessons you should take away from a quality internship. How to Reduce Your Risk of Injury- Considering I just put up a post about training while hurt or injured this feels appropriate. This article on Girls Gone Strong (yes their stuff is awesome) from Ann Wendel provides some great tips for programming to prevent injuries. Spoiler alert: she mentions carries and hinging (deadlifting) my two favorite things! That's what there is this week folks, enjoy them. Everyone have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
