October On October 17th the outside of CORE had its turn at getting an update. The new sign is great and I am very thankful to call this space the home of First XV. Still picking things up and putting them back down of course. November It was all about family on November 23rd in recognition of Thanksgiving. We had our first and what will be annual, Friendsgiving Strength Camp. It was a nice turnout and I look forward to it growing more and more each year. December Just in time for Winter? OK maybe not but, just the same, on December 13th the ladies of First XV got a chance to show off their badge as the new tank tops arrived. Noreast Custom Apparel once again did an amazing job. These babies are comfy as hell (not that I know myself), that yellow badge pops and of course all of our strong women look wonderful in them. Our first Bar Raiser of the Month was announced on December 15th. Yeah it was halfway through the month, still the recognition was necessary and I didn’t want to wait until January. Maybe you'll be next? Finally, COREssentials was announced (again) on December 19th. After a little hiccup and working out the bugs we are ready to give this guy another, much better, shot. As I’ve stated I’m really excited to drive this bus and hope that everyone that signs up will be ready to become more awesome in 2017. E-mail here to get a spot while we have them.
Come back next week and I'll have some new fun stuff that'll be slightly more present! Thanks for reading.

Those that have been anxiously (or not so much) for the continuation of this piece, here you are! August On the 18th of August, shirts arrived and the badges were distributed. It did my heart good to see so many people wanting to dawn the First XV badge and I’m so glad to see everyone still wearing their shirts proudly. On the 23rd of August we said good luck to Max Lyons as he departed for college to swim at Franklin and Marshall. Max worked so hard and I am proud to see him take his swimming to the next level at college. September On the 2nd we said good-bye to longtime client and strength camper Meredith. She came in as one of those ladies that didn’t think lifting was for her and left very much embracing the idea of picking up heavy things. I still think I can feel my ears buzzing with Meredith cursing my names as she does her own routine with what she learned at First XV. First XV went outside with MOMS of Brookline on the 15th of September. The group was gracious enough to let me run a little workout in the park and talk a little bit about what strength training can do for them and how it can be worked into their routines. Come back next time as we wrap things up with October to December (brr).
For those waiting the next section of recapping the first year of First XV, it'll return tomorrow. Sorry about the delay folks!
Anderson Strength and Fitness-Couldn't be happier or more honored to put this little nugget in here. My good buddy Mike Anderson is making a go on his own and I know he'll be a success. Those in northern Ohio give him a shout to become an absolute beast! COREssentials- Yeah I know sorry, shameless self-plug I'm lame. Seriously though with all these "21 day quick fix" things out there, this will beat the pants off of them any day. If you actually want to learn something and gain some self-confidence, just do this instead. 30 Days of Back and Hip Health- Give Matt Ibrahim on Movement Resilience a follow on Instagram folks. For those that have issues with their back and hip, or don't want them (everyone's hand should go up) follow his 30 Days of Back and Hip Health posts. They're fairly quick videos packed with good material, enjoy. |
